Who wrote this, and why.
Nutrae is a UAE brand developing a single-ingredient NRHM capsule — nicotinamide riboside hydrogen malate — and this guide lives on our website. Sales are not open: visitors register interest at launch pricing, and no payment is taken. NRHM is our differentiator, which is exactly why this guide works hard to be fair to the other forms: if the comparison were rigged, it would be worthless to you.
Weigh that conflict of interest. Every checkable claim links to a page you can read, and the limits of our chosen form are stated next to its specifications.
What NR, NRHM and NMN actually are.
NR (nicotinamide riboside) is a vitamin-form precursor the body uses to build NAD⁺, a coenzyme central to cellular energy metabolism. Nearly all published human trials used one specific salt: NR chloride. When a label says “NR” with no salt named, you do not know what you are buying.
NRHM (nicotinamide riboside hydrogen malate) is a different salt of the same precursor — NR bound to hydrogen malate, the ionised form of malic acid, itself a natural intermediate of energy metabolism. The parent molecule is shared with NR chloride; the salt partner, the molecular weight per capsule and the excipient chemistry are not. NRHM is the form Nutrae selected, and the honest consequence is this: NR chloride trial results describe NR chloride, not automatically NRHM.
NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) is a different precursor altogether — one enzymatic step further along the pathway to NAD⁺. It is not a form of NR, and its regulatory treatment varies by market and has shifted over time, so check the rules where you live. Comparing “NR versus NMN” is comparing two molecules; comparing “NR chloride versus NRHM” is comparing two salts of one molecule. Most marketing blurs both distinctions.
Methodology: documents, not vibes.
Every claim here traces to a readable source. The human study record is catalogued on our Science page — 21 primary human reports across our three ingredients, published between 1990 and 2026 — and the NR subset is summarised in plain language in our ingredient primer, which keeps NR chloride findings explicitly separate from our NRHM plan. Quality documents, including Certificates of Analysis, are tracked live on the COA & Quality page.
Where a figure is a target rather than a verified result, this guide says target; where evidence belongs to a different form, it says not transferable. No reviews, ratings or testimonials, and no named competitors — the comparison below uses generic categories.
Six checks before you buy any NR supplement.
- Exact form on the label. NR chloride, NRHM and NMN are not interchangeable. The label should name the full chemical form — anything less is a guess you are paying for.
- Dose with a salt basis. 250 mg of an NR salt is not 250 mg of NR. An honest label states the salt weight and, where verified, the equivalent NR content. If the equivalent is unknown, an honest brand says it is being verified — as ours is.
- Evidence attached to the right form. Human NR chloride trials mainly measured NAD⁺ biomarker increases. Citing them for a different salt or for NMN is borrowing evidence. Ask which form each claim belongs to.
- Purity and batch verification. A lot-specific Certificate of Analysis covering identity and assay — or, at minimum, a public live status page for that document.
- UAE regulatory context. Supplements sold in Dubai are registered through Montaji. A brand open about working through registration is accountable; a grey import is not.
- Honest availability and pricing. Clear AED pricing, no invented discounts, truthful stock status.
The forms and the criteria, side by side.
| Form | What it is | What human evidence attaches to it |
|---|---|---|
| 01NR chloride | The salt used in nearly all published human NR trials. | Reliable NAD⁺ biomarker increases in blood; functional outcomes mixed and still studied. Evidence belongs to this salt. |
| 02NRHM | Nicotinamide riboside bound to hydrogen malate — the salt Nutrae selected. | Same parent precursor, different salt. NR chloride findings cannot be transferred automatically; NRHM-specific human data is thinner. |
| 03NMN | A different NAD⁺ precursor, one enzymatic step further along — not a form of NR. | Its own developing human record; regulatory treatment varies by market and has shifted. Not interchangeable with NR evidence. |
Nutrae NRHM against the same six checks.
- Form: nicotinamide riboside hydrogen malate, named in full on the product page — one defined salt, nothing else active.
- Dose: 250 mg of NRHM salt per capsule, 100 capsules per bottle. The verified nicotinamide-riboside equivalent is still being confirmed and will be stated on the final label; until then we quote the salt weight, not an implied NR figure.
- Evidence discipline: our primer and Science record attribute human findings to NR chloride explicitly and mark them non-transferable to NRHM.
- Batch verification: purity release-specification target is 98%. No lot-specific finished-product COA is published yet — the slot and its live status are public on the COA & Quality page.
- Registration: launch remains subject to Montaji product registration, advertising approval and final signed release documents.
- Availability and price: reservation-only. AED 199 one bottle, AED 349 two bottles, AED 449 three bottles — launch pricing for information, not an offer to sell today.
The honest limits: no finished Nutrae product has been tested in a randomized human trial, and choosing NRHM is a chemistry and quality decision — not a claim of superior outcomes over NR chloride or NMN.
Who this is not for.
Skip NRHM if you want the exact form used in the published human trials — that is NR chloride, and we will not pretend otherwise. Skip any NAD⁺ precursor if you expect a promised functional outcome: the strongest consistent human finding is a biomarker change, not a promised result. Anyone pregnant or nursing, using medicines, managing a medical condition, or preparing for surgery should speak with a qualified clinician first.
NR, NRHM and NMN FAQ.
What is the best NR supplement in the UAE?
The best NR supplement in the UAE names its exact chemical form — NR chloride, NRHM or NMN are not interchangeable — states the dose per capsule with the salt basis, publishes or openly tracks batch-level Certificates of Analysis, and is sold by a company working through Montaji product registration. Nutrae's planned NRHM capsule is built to that frame: 250 mg of nicotinamide riboside hydrogen malate per capsule, 100 capsules, single ingredient, reservation pricing of AED 199.
What is the difference between NRHM and NR?
NR is nicotinamide riboside, the NAD⁺ precursor itself. Most human trials used its chloride salt. NRHM — nicotinamide riboside hydrogen malate — is a different salt of the same precursor, bound to malic acid. The parent molecule is shared, but the salts differ in weight and excipient chemistry, so trial results for NR chloride cannot be transferred automatically to NRHM.
Is NRHM better than NMN?
There is no head-to-head human trial that settles NRHM against NMN, so no honest page can declare a winner. NRHM is a defined salt of nicotinamide riboside; NMN is a different NAD⁺ precursor whose regulatory treatment varies by market and has shifted over time. The practical choice is about defined chemistry, transparent dosing and local registration — not slogans.
What did human NR trials actually measure?
Mostly biomarkers. Human NR trials — nearly all using NR chloride — reliably measured increases in NAD⁺ and related metabolites in blood. Some measured secondary functional or physiological endpoints with mixed results. A raised NAD⁺ biomarker is a real measurement, but it is not by itself a proven everyday health outcome.
How much does an NR supplement cost in the UAE?
Nutrae launch reservation pricing is AED 199 for one bottle of 100 capsules, AED 349 for two bottles and AED 449 for three. Ordering is not open today: no payment is taken and no pre-orders are accepted, only interest registration.
Is NRHM safe?
Nicotinamide riboside has been studied in humans for over a decade and is generally reported as well tolerated at studied doses, but long-term supplemental safety data remain limited and NRHM-specific human data is thinner than NR chloride data. Anyone pregnant or nursing, using medicines, managing a medical condition, or preparing for surgery should seek qualified medical advice before use.
Can I buy Nutrae NRHM today?
No. Sales are not open on nutrae.ae. Launch remains subject to Montaji product registration, advertising approval and final signed release documents. You can register interest at the launch price of AED 199 per bottle, and no card details are collected.
